Her bags are packed...

Cali is 6 months old and learning so many new things. It's amazing to watch her grow and learn. She has 2 teeth (bottom) and is getting one on the top. She can almost sit up and will sit and play if you help you get there. She loves to stand! Every time you grab her hands she wants to stand up and she can stand on her own while holding on to our cube footstools. She laughs and laughs because she realizes she's standing on her own! We are trying more foods and have tried little puff finger foods, but Cali doesn't quite get that she can put it in her mouth after grabbing it - it's so funny. She just holds it in her hand and wonders where it went! Cali is quite the chatter box and I'm convinced that she is saying "ma ma" even if it's hard to make out :0)

Cali was 17lbs 15oz at the doctor last Monday and everything checked out great. She was a little out of sorts for a couple days after her shots, but she's better now.

The photos I posted are from our trip to Idaho last week to see family. She was a great traveler! And of course she loved being the center of attention all week. She got to see the blue turf and we purchased her "first boise state t-shirt" and some for mom and dad as well. We took 2 different day trips into the mountains and on one trip we went swimming at Silver Creek Plunge - a pool that is warmed by the hot springs. I wasn't sure if Cali would like it but she did! We got a little swimming diaper for her and she played around and had a fun time. Mom and Dad has a good time visiting family and friends and it was a good time away.

Cali did the sweetest thing when I was putting her to bed this evening...she was laying on the changing table and I was above her getting her PJ's on her and she grabbed my arm and pulled it close to her with both hands. She looked up at me with those sweet eyes as if to say "I love you Mommy. Thanks for taking good care of me." Oh! It melted my heart.

I'm excited to start my new job in 2 weeks and be much closer to home. It will be an adjustment for all of us, but we are looking forward to the longer evenings together as a family.
