We thought Cali had come down with a cold last week, but on Thursday, we got a call from daycare saying she was having shortness of breath and we should come right away. They even asked if they should call the ambulance, but we told them no. We knew Cali had been having some choking on mucus issues, so we hoped it was only that. Cali was calmed down and doing fine when we got there (John and I both rushed there, of course). They took good care of her. We took her straight to the doctor and found out she has an ear infection! Poor thing. We started her on an antibiotic and by Saturday night, she was sounding better and acting more herself. She is on the mend and it's a relief to know what was wrong and that she is getting better.
Cali had gained almost a pound since the previous week - she weighed in at 9lb 12oz! She is definitely filling out, even though she is still very lean and lanky. Cali is smiling and laughing more and she talks to us a lot when she is in a happy mood. It is so sweet to see her face light up when we talk to her and tell her how much we love her!
